Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between chris fu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hannibal Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). chris fu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, chris fu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hannibal Smith!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Lou da Vinci and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
fu blocks a head kick by Smith.
Smith throws a right and a left that fu avoids nicely.
fu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but fu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
fu shoots in but no luck this time.
No luck with that takedown attempt from fu.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for chris fu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Smith is looking to clinch but fu is avoiding it.
fu swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Smith counters with a low kick, right behind fu 's knee.
fu swats away the attempt to clinch by Smith.
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
fu looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Smith is fending him off so far but fu persists. Nope, Smith circles away and we're back to standing.
fu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smith's waist but Smith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing fu off to one side.
fu closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Smith feints and then cracks fu's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow fu down.
fu cracks Smith with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
fu misses with a straight left.
Smith lands a really nice looking cross but fu seems unphased.
Smith throws an overhand right that lands on fu's shoulder, as fu tries to avoid the shot.
fu shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Smith finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
fu circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hannibal Smith is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Smith throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
fu takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like chris fu has been cut.
Donk. Smith catches fu right on the button with a cross.

Smith has taken the fight to the clinch.
Smith lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Smith obliges.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

fu is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Smith can't fight it off and eventually fu manages to take the fight to the floor. Smith looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Smith wants to sweep but no luck.

fu is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
fu is breathing heavily.

Smith had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. fu defends it easily.

fu preventing the sweep.

fu drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and fu jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Smith is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. fu is aware though and is defending well.
Smith can't keep his opponent in guard - fu advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

fu is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Smith defends it well.
Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with fu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
fu prevents Smith from improving his position.

fu is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Smith sees it coming and defends easily.
Smith moves into full guard.

Smith trying to keep a closed guard but fu is proving a slippery customer.

fu thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
fu won't allow Smith to sweep him here.

Smith looking for a guillotine here but fu defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

fu drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says fu as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Smith screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with fu! Nice submission victory there!
