Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Shannigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johny Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Shannigan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Slaughtered. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shannigan throws a body punch but Jones moves out of range.
Shannigan stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jones.

Shannigan paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Shannigan scores with a hook to the body. Jones takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Shannigan tries to reverse the position but Jones maintains control.

Jones goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Shannigan is on top in guard.
Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jones throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Shannigan escapes and throws Jones's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Jones sneaks back into half guard.

Jones is looking to control Shannigan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jones avoid being mounted?

Shannigan stands up out of the half guard.

Shannigan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones moves away.
Shannigan fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jones on the side of the head.
Shannigan throws a shot to the body.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Shannigan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jones throws a nice head kick!
Shannigan bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jones's head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tommy Shannigan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Shannigan drops Jones with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Jones! Shannigan dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
