Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between jared kerns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Vandrox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Vandrox's choice of entrance music: Embrace Of The Endless Ocean. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vandrox is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Vandrox tries to clinch but kerns is having none of it.
kerns closes the distance and clinches.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Vandrox is looking to work some ground and pound but kerns has wrist control.
Vandrox throws a strike but kerns rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Vandrox wants to stand up but kerns is controlling him.
kerns drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and kerns jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

kerns wants to stand but Vandrox has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Vandrox throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. kerns was covering up waiting for the punch and Vandrox finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vandrox postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

kerns bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vandrox's guard.

Danny Vandrox showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

kerns ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. kerns no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Vandrox has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of kerns is proving hard to escape from.

kerns lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vandrox circles away quickly and effectively.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
