Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jussi Murikka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikhail Zakarova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murikka comes into the arena with Rock'n'Rolla blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murikka closes the distance and clinches.
Murikka throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Zakarova throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Murikkas head.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Zakarova won't allow Murikka to sweep him here.

Mikhail Zakarova showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Murikka throws a jab but it's blocked by Zakarova.
Zakarova darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Murikka rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zakarova moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A bone on bone clash there as Murikka blocks the leg kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Zakarova crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Murikka - the referee stops the clock and Zakarova gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Murikka. Zakarova manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

With the fighters up against the cage, Murikka throws an elbow but misses.

Zakarova breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Murikka walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Zakarova checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Murikka shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Zakarova napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Zakarova displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Murikka throws out the jab.
Zakarova is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Murikka.

Murikka lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Zakarova circles away quickly and effectively.

Zakarova throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Murikka connects with a solid leg kick.
Murikka pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Murikka closes the distance and clinches up with Zakarova, looking for a takedown. Murikka pushes Zakarova against the cage but Zakarova circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jussi Murikka.
I think Zakarova has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
