PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Evan Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Waters comes to the cage accompanied by No More Mr. Nice Guy. Waters has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waters lands a body shot.
Waters darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Stevens moves into the clinch successfully.
Stevens blocking some punches.

Stevens manages to break the clinch.

Stevens closes the distance and pushes Waters back into the cage.

Stevens pulls Waters into guard.
Stevens seems keen to control Waters's posture.

Stevens looking for a guillotine here but Waters defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stevens pulls Waters in close to his closed guard and prevents Waters from doing any damage or advancing position.
Waters will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Waters seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Stevens has control of Waters's left arm, preventing Waters from doing any damage.

Waters is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Stevens has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Waters is looking to defend but Stevens has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Waters! Stevens pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Waters taps out and this one is all over!
