Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Rourke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Wren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mickey Rourke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alan Wren!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Konstantin Menshow and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rourke closes the distance and clinches.
Rourke misses with a punch on the inside.
Rourke tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Rourke manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Wren trying to control but Rourke is working from the bottom.

Rourke looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Rourke wants to get back to his feet but Wren is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Wren tries to free his leg and advance position but Rourke is retaining full guard.

Rourke pushes Wren off and scrambles back to his feet.
No joy there for Wren, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Wren closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wren is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rourke is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Wren is trying to get an arm triangle but Rourke is defending well.
Rourke sneaks back into half guard.

Wren is keen to just control but Rourke is a slippery customer.
Rourke is trying to stand up here but Wren is controlling him well.
Wren seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Wren is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rourke defends it well.

Rourke walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Rourke throws a hook but Wren avoids it easily.
Wren looks to land a combination. Rourke sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Wren closes the distance and clinches up with Rourke, looking for a takedown. Wren pushes Rourke against the cage but Rourke circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Some bone on bone action there as Rourke checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Wren throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

so Rourke counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rourke working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wren's head.

Wren is looking for a triangle but Rourke pushes his legs off easily.

Mickey Rourke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alan Wren.

Wren looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Rourke bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rourke has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Wren off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Wren shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wren was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
