Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Shark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gibki Vlad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Shaun Shark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Gibki Vlad!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vlad shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shark sprawls well. Shark wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vlad gets slowly back to his feet.
Vlad fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A combination from Shark does no damage.
Shark tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Vlad was well out of range. Poor timing from Shark.
Shark throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shark stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shark wants it to stay on the feet.

It looks like Gibki Vlad has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Shark throws a nice looking combination but Vlad bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Vlad tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shark sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vlad somewhat.

Vlad is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Shark has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Shark!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Vlad is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Shark defends well.
Vlad can't keep his opponent in guard - Shark advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Shark throws a right and a left that both miss.
Vlad fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Shark. Vlad does a little dance to reset his feet.

Shark tries to bum rush Vlad with a series of wild strikes but Vlad uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Vlad shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Vlad with shots to the head and body - Shark looks very uncomfortable down there.
Shark tries to reverse the position but Vlad maintains control.

Vlad is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Shark to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Shark shrugs it off.
Shark wants to hold on but Vlad pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vlad working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Vlad is breathing heavily.
Shark tries to hold on but Vlad postures up.
Vlad looking to finish Shark with some ground and pound. This is bad for Shark!

Vlad has hold of Shark's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Shark manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Vlad has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Shark has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Shark defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Vlad's arms.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shark rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Shark is trying to stand back up but Vlad is controlling him
Shark gets back to full guard.

Vlad is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Vlad stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shark swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Shark is trying to keep Vlad in close.

Shark working for a triangle but Vlad defends it easily.
Vlad sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Shark's guard.

Vlad throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Shark is defending against the submission attempts here by Vlad.
Shark is looking for a sweep. Vlad is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Vlad is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Shark manages to get to full guard.

Vlad drops back looking for a leg! Shark is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Shark manages to kick Vlad off! Vlad jumps back into Shark's guard.

Shark working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vlad doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vlad manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Shark is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Shark wants to stand and escape but Vlad is having none of it.

Shark is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Vlad is aware though and is defending well.

Gibki Vlad showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Vlad tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shark swivels and escapes.
Shark misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Vlad shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shark as he avoids it easily.
Jab, jab by Shark - just one landing.
Shark misses with a few strikes there.
No joy there for Shark, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Vlad fails with a takedown attempt.
Shark swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Shark fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Vlad changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shark tries to avoid it but Vlad manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shark to the ground. Shark escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Shark tries to bum rush Vlad with a series of wild strikes but Vlad uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Shark is looking to wear down Vlad with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Vlad drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Vlad wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Shark, who protects the arm well.
Shark gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Vlad stops Shark from getting back to his feet.

Shark is defending against the submission attempts here by Vlad.

Vlad seems to be looking for submissions.

Vlad seems to be working for a kimura but Shark defends the submission attempt.
Shark works his way to full guard. Good work.

Vlad drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Shark dives on top into guard.
Shark passes Vlad's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Shark has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Vlad takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
