Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Jerabek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Sterner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Sterner's choice of entrance music:

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Jerabek has Sterner pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sterner manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sterner can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Jerabek scores with a one two! Sterner had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Sterner throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jerabek.

Sterner shoots in looking for a takedown. Jerabek tries to sprawl out of it but Sterner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jerabek manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Sterner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jerabek. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jerabek has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
