Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Correa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eric Correa could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rick Willis's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eric Correa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rick Willis!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willis fails with a takedown attempt.
Willis shoots in for a takedown but Correa shows good takedown defense.
Willis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Correa tries to avoid it but Willis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Correa to the ground. Correa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Eric Correa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Willis.
Willis tries for a takedown but Correa sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Nice sprawl there from Correa as Willis shoots in.
Rick Willis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Willis shoots in and drives through. Correa sprawls well.
Correa finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Correa stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Correa wants it to stay on the feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Correa. Willis does a little dance to reset his feet.
Willis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Correa as he jumps to the side.
Willis should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Willis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Correa pinned against the cage. Correa gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Willis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Correa but Correa pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Willis shoots in but Correa avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Correa looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Correa does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Correa throws a right hand that Willis ducks under and follows up with a left that Willis also avoids with ease.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Correa will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Correa shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Willis.
Correa leaves Willis with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Willis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Correa as he avoids it easily.

Willis closes the distance and clinches up with Correa, looking for a takedown. Willis pushes Correa against the cage but Correa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Correa.
Willis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Correa sprawls well. Correa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Willis gets slowly back to his feet.

Eric Correa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Correa walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Willis checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Willis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Correa is fending him off so far but Willis persists. Nope, Correa circles away and we're back to standing.
Correa lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Eric Correa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Willis shoots in for a takedown but Correa shows good takedown defense.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Willis fails with a takedown attempt.
Willis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Willis is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Correa's half guard.
Willis looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Willis frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Willis punching from mount but Correa doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Correa wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Willis.
Correa is desperately trying to improve his position but Willis has a good base and remains in mount.

Willis wants to finish this one by submission but Correa is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Willis.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Willis is looking to work his way around to Correa's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Eric Correa will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Correa takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Willis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Correa tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Correa misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nice uppercut there from Correa.

Willis scores a takedown into full mount!

Willis wants to finish this one by submission but Correa is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Willis.

Correa stops Willis from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Willis is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Correa is surviving well by controlling Willis's body position as best he can.
Willis takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Willis sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Rick Willis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Willis wants to take his opponent's back but Correa doesn't allow it.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Rick Willis.
I think Correa has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
