The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Dean tries to get to full guard but Bent has control of the leg.

Bent working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Bent thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dean's head.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bent seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dean does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Dean is looking for a sweep. Bent is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Dean really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bent. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bent is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Dean!

Bent unloads with some shots from mount but Dean bucks and avoids them well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bent can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dean is looking to escape.

Bent is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dean knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Dean throws a left and a right that both miss

and Bent counters with a single leg into guard. Dean didn't expect that.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Bent's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Bent drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Bent as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Dean screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Bent! Nice submission victory there!
