Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ray Ricketts !
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a wild combination.
Lorian Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones throws out a loose jab but Ricketts uses good head movement to avoid it.

Ricketts throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jones was covering up waiting for the punch and Ricketts finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Jones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ricketts gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jones had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ricketts defends it easily.

Ricketts got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ricketts has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted.

Ricketts shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jones's guard.

Jones isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ricketts stacks Jones on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ricketts !

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ricketts takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Ricketts tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jones is looking for a sweep. Ricketts is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Ray Ricketts comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ricketts has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
