The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
PEGADOR looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Alves is fending him off so far but PEGADOR persists. Nope, Alves circles away and we're back to standing.
PEGADOR fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Alves!
It looks like Jose PEGADOR has been cut.
PEGADOR throws a combination that misses
and Alves holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Alves gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, PEGADOR regains guard.
Alves thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Alves slips nicely into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Alves is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and PEGADOR defends it well.
PEGADOR wants to control but Alves is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Alves works his foot free and advances to mount.
A nice elbow there by Alves.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

PEGADOR gives up his back whilst trying to strike.
PEGADOR trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
PEGADOR won't enjoy being in this position. Alves looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - PEGADOR is tapping - it's over boys! Alves picks up the submission victory!
