Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rick Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Pattison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robert Pattison has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rick Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Robert Pattison!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Roberts and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pattison fails with a takedown attempt.
Pattison misses with a double jab.

Pattison feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Johnson wants to stand but Pattison is controlling the position.
Pattison wants to stand but Johnson is controlling his posture from full guard.

Pattison tries to free his leg and advance position but Johnson is retaining full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Johnson throws a nice outside leg kick.
Pattison shoots in looking for a takedown. Johnson tries to sprawl out of it but Pattison keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Johnson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A head kick misses from Johnson.

Pattison shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Johnson's guard.

Pattison drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Pattison seems to have locked his on tight now - Johnson screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Pattison, as he picks up the win!
