Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aoki King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Richards Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King comes into the arena with I'm on a boat blaring out of the sound system. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aoki King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Paul Richards Jr!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Richards Jr trying to keep a closed guard but King is proving a slippery customer.
King passes Richards Jr's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Richards Jr is refusing to be controlled, as King sits in half guard.
King prevents Richards Jr from standing back up.
King is looking to stall here but Richards Jr recovers full guard.
King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Richards Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Richards Jr is looking to stand up but King isn't so interested in that idea.
Richards Jr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
King advances to half guard.
King is just content to waste time from the top position. Richards Jr takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Richards Jr wants to stand and escape but King is having none of it.
King trying to control the position from guard on top but Richards Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
King with a flurry of punches that miss.
Richards Jr is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst King is controlling him.
King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Richards Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Richards Jr is trying to control the position but King postures up.
King works a leg free and moves into half guard.
King trying to control from half guard but Richards Jr is working away.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Richards Jr lands a body shot.
King is breathing heavily.
Richards Jr is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
King shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Richards Jr but Richards Jr pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Richards Jr throws a one two combo.

King is rocked!
Richards Jr will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Richards Jr misses with a double jab.
Richards Jr lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Oh King is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
King shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Richards Jr as he jumps to the side.
Richards Jr throws a right hand that King ducks under and follows up with a left that King also avoids with ease.
King seems to have got his legs back now.

King darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
King lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
King passes the guard and advances to mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Richards Jr is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
King landing strikes from the mount and Richards Jr is in trouble!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
King wants to control the pace but Richards Jr is squirming around nicely.
King looking to ground and pound but Richards Jr is blocking nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
King can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Richards Jr is looking to escape.
King punishing his opponent with strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Aoki King will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

King fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Aoki King is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Richards Jr misses with a wild combination.
King slips a jab and a cross from Richards Jr.

King closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
King tries to pass the half guard into mount. Richards Jr knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Richards Jr pushes King off looking to stand but King dives back in and keeps control.

King seems to be looking for submissions.
Richards Jr is trying to stand back up but King is controlling him

Ground and pound from King.
King controlling the action here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Richards Jr keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
King throws a sloppy body shot
and Richards Jr counters with a nice uppercut.
Richards Jr comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
King shoots and misses
and Richards Jr counters with a stiff right hand.
Richards Jr lands with a big right hook that stumbles King - he's out on his feet here! Richards Jr follows up with another monster hook that separates King from consciousness! King falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Richards Jr stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
