Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Witherspoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Al (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Al has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Big Al!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Witherspoon throws out a leg kick but Al moves out of range and Witherspoon only half commits.
Al shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Witherspoon as he jumps to the side.
Witherspoon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Al.
Witherspoon throws a half hearted mid kick.
Al on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Witherspoon. Witherspoon obviously looking to wear him down.
Al should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Al looks gassed!
Witherspoon pivots, looking for a leg kick but Al is out of range and Witherspoon settles back down.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Witherspoon.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Witherspoon throws a body kick that misses.
Witherspoon throws a nice looking combination but Al bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Witherspoon misses with a leg kick.
Witherspoon tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Al is able to avoid easily.
Witherspoon throws a front kick aimed at Al's knee but Al avoids it well.
Witherspoon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Witherspoon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Al crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Witherspoon - the referee stops the clock and Al gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Witherspoon. Al manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Witherspoon turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
A right-left combo lands from Witherspoon.

It looks like Big Al has been cut.
Witherspoon throws a quick inside leg kick.
Witherspoon misses the shot to the body.
Both fighters circling a little - Witherspoon finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Witherspoon with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Witherspoon fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Witherspoon lands with a kick to the ribs.
Steve Witherspoon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A punch lands to the side of Al 's head but he takes it in his stride.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Al blocks a leg kick.
Witherspoon fails to land with a series of punches.

Witherspoon lands a big head kick that sends Al tumbling to the mat! Witherspoon takes a step backwards and waves Al back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Witherspoon swings for the body but Al moves out of range.
Witherspoon throws a solid leg kick but Al takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Witherspoon.
Witherspoon scores with a head kick.

Al is rocked!

That has opened up Big Al's cut even more.
Witherspoon throws a monster overhand right that drops Al! Witherspoon follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
