The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DoSantos throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily.
Smith moves out of range of the body kick from DoSantos.
DoSantos lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Smith circles away quickly and effectively.
DoSantos misses with a head kick.
DoSantos looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Smith shoots in and bounces DoSantos off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Smith looking to pass the guard.
Smith tries to stand but DoSantos is controlling from the bottom.
Smith is looking to work some ground and pound but DoSantos has wrist control.

DoSantos utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
DoSantos wants to stand up but Smith is controlling him.
Smith has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of DoSantos is proving hard to escape from.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
