The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garimonde gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Garimonde breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Garimonde throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Couch.
Couch shoots for a double leg takedown but Garimonde sprawls well. He's pushed Couch's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Garimonde throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Couch was covering up waiting for the punch and Garimonde finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Garimonde has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Couch wants to get back to his feet but Garimonde is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Couch pushes Garimonde off and gets back to his feet.
Garimonde throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Couch stumbling backwards into the cage! Couch bounces back off the cage towards Garimonde, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Garimonde lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Garimonde celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
