Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Logan Punish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fellipe Briz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Briz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Punish sprawls well initially but Briz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Briz seems to be looking for submissions.
Punish knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Briz on the ground.

Briz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Punish doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Briz.

Briz is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Punish is concentrating on defense, preventing Briz from advancing position.

Briz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Punish is just riding it out for now. Briz eventually gives up the hold.

Briz drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Punish dives on top into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
