Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Niko Batchiska!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Colt Harris!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batchiska fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Harris, as that shot connected.
Colt Harris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Batchiska throws a big shot that misses.
Batchiska slips under a jab.
Nice defenses there by Batchiska.
Harris keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Batchiska scoring well with a low kick there.
Batchiska misses with a head kick.
Batchiska fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Harris scores with a jab to the body.
Batchiska misses with a hook.
Batchiska misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Batchiska moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Batchiska takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Nice uppercut lands for Harris. That snapped Batchiska's head back.

Harris lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Harris throws a shot from downtown. Batchiska moves away and avoids it.
Harris scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Harris shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Harris was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Harris is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Harris moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Batchiska has worked his arm free - good work by Batchiska!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Batchiska is trying to control Harris's posture but Harris avoids it.

Harris is looking for a kimura but Batchiska is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Harris to get the leverage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Harris moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Harris tries to close the distance and clinch up but Batchiska swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Harris drops back, looking for a kneebar! Batchiska looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Batchiska looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Batchiska!

That was a close round but I would say that Niko Batchiska will probably get the nod.
