The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
king throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Shawn Davison has been cut.
king tries to close the distance and clinch but Davison swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
king swinging wilding here.
king stuffs the takedown.

Davison feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Davison counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
king slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Davison throws and elbow that misses. king uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Davison's guard. Nice move by king!
Davison is wriggling around but king manages to pass to half guard.
Davison pushes king off looking to stand but king dives back in and keeps control.

Davison tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
