PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Draper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Mercury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mercury has chosen Queen - Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercury tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Draper ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mercury moves away.

Mercury scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Mercury throws a strike but Draper rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Draper throws a lazy right hand but Mercury sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Mercury throws a hook to the side of Draper's head but Draper sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Mercury might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Draper lands a left and a right that send Mercury crashing to the mat, dazed. Draper thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Draper is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mercury.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mercury, as that shot connected.

and Draper counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Mercury wants to clinch
and Draper counters with a stiff right hand.

Draper fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mercury on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mercury takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

enabling Draper to counter with a crisp jab.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mercury throws a lazy right hand but Draper sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Don Draper showed his dominance in that final round.
