Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akihiro Murakami!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lucas Frambach!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frambach slips under a jab from Murakami.
Murakami shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Frambach but Frambach pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Frambach throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Murakami sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Murakami fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Frambach avoids it really well and circles away.
Murakami rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Frambach moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Murakami shoots for a takedown but Frambach saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Akihiro Murakami. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Murakami throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Frambach shoots in and bounces Murakami off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Frambach is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Frambach passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Frambach is trying to get an arm triangle but Murakami is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Frambach thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Frambach is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Murakami is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Frambach remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Frambach wants to control but Murakami is keeping him busy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Murakami is pushing Frambach's head away, looking to escape. Frambach manages to hold on to the position though.

Frambach has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Murakami is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Frambach yanks on the arm and Murakami is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Frambach.
