Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tap Time (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jones Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tap Time!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jones Sanders!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanders shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sanders was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Sanders gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Sanders takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Time tries to land a leg kick but Sanders saw it coming and moves away.

Time gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sanders to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Time has Sanders pulled in close to control his posture.
Time wants to sweep here but Sanders controlling him for the moment.

Time is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Sanders drops back looking for a leg! Time is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Time manages to kick Sanders off! Sanders jumps back into Time's guard.
Time not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Time throws a right and a left that Sanders avoids nicely.

Sanders shoots in and bounces Time off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Time is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Time is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Sanders is looking to stand up but Time won't let him.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Time is on top in guard.

Time postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sanders is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Time, into his guard.
Sanders won't allow Time to sweep him here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Time escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sanders gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Time looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sanders is one step ahead there.
Sanders wants to control from the top but Time keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones Sanders dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Time scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Time tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Time working the strikes but Sanders uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Sanders manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Time drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sanders dives on top into guard.
Time tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Sanders wants to control from the top but Time keeps moving.

Time is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Time working for a triangle but Sanders defends it easily.
Sanders is looking to stand up but Time won't let him.

Time escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sanders gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Time tried to score with a low kick but Sanders checks it.

Sanders feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sanders drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sanders jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Sanders is looking to stand up but Time won't let him.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Time is on top in guard.

Time wants to get up but he can't break Sanders's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Time stands and steps away. Sanders gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Time throws a series of punches but Sanders avoids them all with ease.
Time tries to bum rush Sanders with a series of wild strikes but Sanders uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Sanders shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sanders showed some decent athleticism there.
Jones Sanders has got the better of the ground game so far.
Time is trying to get back to full guard.
Time is trying to maintain the position but Sanders is very close to passing his half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones Sanders showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Time lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sanders!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Time is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sanders can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Sanders avoids a series of strikes thrown by Time.

Time goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Sanders is on top in guard.

Time escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sanders gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Time has a closed guard, preventing Sanders from standing up.
Time trying to control the position.
Sanders won't allow Time to sweep him here.

Time is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sanders is aware though and is defending well.
Time will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Sanders wants to get up but he can't break Time's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Sanders missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Time is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Tap Time has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jones Sanders is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Sanders is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Sanders avoids a punch combination nicely.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tap Time.
I think Sanders has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
