The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baruka defending well as Kankkunen loads up on a big left hand.
Baruka throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Kankkunen misses with the combination.
Kankkunen blocks the body kick.
A nice combination there by Kankkunen.
Juha Kankkunen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kankkunen takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Good leg kick by Baruka there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kankkunen looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Baruka throws a front kick that sends Kankkunen stumbling back into the ropes.
A nice inside leg kick there by Baruka. That's going to slow Kankkunen down.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Baruka circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Kankkunen drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Baruka follows Kankkunen to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
