Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between DJ Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryfus Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kelly is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Spaceboy. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
An inside leg kick from Kelly misses.

Penn scores a takedown into full mount!

Penn working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Kelly defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Penn.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kelly tries to hold on but Penn pushes him away.

Penn is working for a guillotine from mount but Kelly frees his head quite easily.

Penn moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Kelly has worked his arm free - good work by Kelly!
Kelly can't do much from the bottom here.

Penn looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Kelly is trying to get back to half guard.

Kelly is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Kelly is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Penn off and has taken his back!
Kelly controlling well, preventing Penn from escaping the position.

Penn is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Kelly gets his way!
Kelly wants to control but Penn is keeping busy.
Kelly lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Penn tries to escape but Kelly has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Penn is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Kelly.
Kelly is trying to stick to Penn's back but Penn is turning into Kelly. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kelly's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Penn.
Kelly is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are battling for position here. Penn manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Kelly is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Penn has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Kelly is looking to defend but Penn has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Kelly! Penn pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Kelly taps out and this one is all over!
