Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between GAK SAN (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jigoro Kano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). GAK SAN has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
SAN leaves Kano with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Kano feints and as SAN raises his hands in defense, Kano changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kano tries to free his leg and advance position but SAN is retaining full guard.

Kano stands up from guard. Let's bang!
GAK SAN seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kano misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Kano shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kano was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Kano has control of SAN's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and SAN regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Kano wants to control the pace but SAN is squirming around nicely.

Kano goes for an armbar but SAN turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from SAN.
SAN would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
SAN is breathing heavily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

SAN is sitting in close to Kano's body. Kano has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! SAN is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, SAN is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kano.
