Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Damian Krantz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jae Darkwaters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krantz throws a body punch but Darkwaters moves out of range.

Krantz looks to score with a jab to the body but Darkwaters is just out of range.

Krantz drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Darkwaters really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Krantz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Krantz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Darkwaters is just riding it out for now. Krantz eventually gives up the hold.

Darkwaters is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Krantz knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Krantz for a finish.

Krantz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Krantz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Krantz has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Darkwaters to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Krantz is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Darkwaters pulls down on the head and he's put Krantz to sleep! This one is all over!
