Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leo Wyatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Ratorso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wyatt kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Love Spit Love - How Soon Is Now. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Damien Ratorso!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ratorso fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ratorso ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Wyatt scores a takedown into full mount!
Ratorso is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Ratorso wants to get back to his feet.
Wyatt controlling the position easily from mount.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ratorso tries to lock up and control but Wyatt gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Ratorso is looking to get to half guard.

Wyatt is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ratorso can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Ratorso manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Ratorso, under a barage of strikes from Wyatt.
Wyatt wants to stand up but Ratorso is controlling the position.
Wyatt is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ratorso can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wyatt controls the pace.
Ratorso wants to get back to his feet but Wyatt is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Ratorso is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Wyatt shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ratorso pinned against the cage. Ratorso gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wyatt moves away from the strike by Ratorso.
Wyatt digs a good body shot into Ratorso's ribs.

Wyatt shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ratorso napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Ratorso is trying to control Wyatt's posture but Wyatt avoids it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wyatt has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Wyatt landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
The referee asks Wyatt politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Wyatt prefers to stall for the moment though.
Wyatt tries to advance to mount but Ratorso denies him.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Wyatt's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Leo Wyatt just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ratorso is defended easily by Wyatt.

Ratorso takes the fight into the clinch.
Ratorso tries a body shot but Wyatt blocks it.

Wyatt breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ratorso fails with a takedown attempt.

Ratorso is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wyatt is controlling him.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Leo Wyatt dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Wyatt has a takedown stuffed.
Nice takedown defense from Ratorso. No joy for Wyatt on that attempt.
Wyatt closes the distance and clinches up with Ratorso, looking for a takedown. Wyatt pushes Ratorso against the cage but Ratorso circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leo Wyatt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ratorso keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ratorso is looking to clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Wyatt fails to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ratorso misses with a punch to the body.
Ratorso has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Ratorso tries to pull guard but Wyatt won't allow it.
Ratorso wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Wyatt has him pressed against the cage.

Wyatt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wyatt fails with the takedown
and Ratorso counters with a three punch combo that has Wyatt backing up. Wyatt nods at Ratorso to acknowledge the strikes.
Wyatt shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ratorso sprawls well. Ratorso wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wyatt gets slowly back to his feet.

Wyatt shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wyatt was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Ratorso is looking to improve his position but Wyatt isn't that keen on the idea.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wyatt misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Damien Ratorso has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Leo Wyatt is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wyatt, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
