And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Egorov!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

iupati gets a takedown into half guard.
iupati is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
iupati wants to free his trapped foot but Egorov is holding on for dear life with his legs.
iupati throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Egorov is trying to maintain the position but iupati is very close to passing his half guard.

Egorov actively working from the bottom here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Egorov is looking to control iupati's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Egorov avoid being mounted?

Egorov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but iupati pulls his head out easily.
Egorov wants to get back to full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

iupati drops Egorov with a beautiful combination! Egorov stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - iupati is looking for the KO!

It looks like Alex Egorov has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

iupati moves into the clinch successfully.
Egorov tries to score a body lock takedown but iupati shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Egorov wants a takedown.
Egorov looks gassed!

Egorov just leaning against iupati, taking a breather.
Egorov goes for a takedown attempt but iupati pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Mike iupati has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Egorov.
Egorov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and iupati counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Egorov's guard now.

iupati scores with a hook to the body. Egorov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
iupati steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Egorov is out on his feet! iupati sets himself and nearly takes Egorov's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
