Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bob Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Miyamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takeshi Miyamoto will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeshi Miyamoto!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miyamoto throws a looping overhand right but Jay ducks down to avoid it.
Jay gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Jay is trying hard to land a takedown here. Miyamoto sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jay looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Nice sprawl there from Miyamoto as Jay shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Jay. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Miyamoto fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jay tries to clinch there but Miyamoto circles away.

Jay is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Miyamoto is just riding it out for now. Jay eventually gives up the hold.

Jay shoots in looking for a takedown. Miyamoto tries to sprawl out of it but Jay keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Miyamoto manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jay tries to clinch but Miyamoto is having none of it.

Miyamoto rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jay moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Miyamoto stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Miyamoto wants it to stay on the feet.
The fighters circle momentarily. Miyamoto darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Miyamoto displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jay.

Jay uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Miyamoto.
Miyamoto swats away the attempt to clinch by Jay.
Jay shoots for a takedown but Miyamoto saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Jay feints and as Miyamoto raises his hands in defense, Jay changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Jay shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Miyamoto is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Jay has managed to escape the submission attempt.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Jay bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jay accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Miyamoto working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jay doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jay manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Miyamoto is trying to control the position but Jay postures up.
