A fine choice. Meadows has chosen Punky's Whips as his entrance music. Edwin Meadows is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edwin Meadows!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Jonathan Paton and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meadows lands a with a good body shot.
Meadows lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Goddard fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Meadows throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Goddard tries to move into range but Meadows moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
An inside leg kick lands from Goddard.
Goddard will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Meadows scores with a one two! Goddard had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Goddard shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Meadows throws a nice looking combination but Goddard bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Goddard takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Meadows defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Goddard.
Meadows digs a good body shot into Goddard's ribs.
Meadows fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Goddard on the side of the head.

Goddard has closed the distance and engaged Meadows in a clinch.

Meadows connects with a nasty looking knee right to Goddard's face.

With the fighters up against the cage, Meadows throws an elbow but misses.
Meadows jerks Goddard's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Goddard drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Meadows goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Meadows because Goddard was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
