The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
geka shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McLoughlin as he avoids it easily.
McLoughlin throws a lazy right hand but geka sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
geka doesn't manage to clinch there - McLoughlin circles away.
geka tries to close the distance and clinch up but McLoughlin swats him away and circles back towards the center.

McLoughlin throws a hook but geka blocks it.

McLoughlin drops geka with a beautiful combination! geka stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - McLoughlin is looking for the KO!

It looks like kovalev geka has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

McLoughlin gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows geka to score an easy takedown into full guard.
