The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connery drops his hands momentarily and Sanford takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Sanford avoids the head kick by Connery.
A combination from Connery does no damage.
Sanford lands with a thumping leg kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Sanford.
Sanford turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Sanford cracks Connery with a right hand to the side of the head.
Connery wants to clinch.
Connery with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sanford to score with a decent uppercut.
Connery thows a leg kick but Sanford checks it
and Sanford counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Connery blocks a head kick by Sanford.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sanford with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Connery tries to clinch up but Sanford circles away and keeps his distance.
Connery throws out a loose jab but Sanford uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sanford tries to bum rush Connery with a series of wild strikes but Connery uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Connery looks gassed!
Connery looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sanford is fending him off so far but Connery persists. Nope, Sanford circles away and we're back to standing.
Sanford lunges at Connery with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Connery's hand.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Sanford! Connery is out on his feet! Sanford rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Connery is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Connery is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
