The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez throws and low kick but Woods moves out of range easily.
Woods has a takedown stuffed.
Nice sprawl there from Hernandez as Woods shoots in.
Woods fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hernandez manages to avoid it.
Hernandez dodges the punch combination from Woods.
The fight stays on the outside here - Woods looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Woods tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hernandez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Woods somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Woods. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hernandez throws a nice looking combination but Woods bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hernandez throws a jab but it's blocked by Woods.
Hernandez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Woods.

Hernandez shoots in and bounces Woods off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Woods is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
