Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrei Aleksandrov !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Konstantin Calter!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aleksandrov shoots in and drives through. Calter sprawls well.
Aleksandrov shoots in for a takedown but Calter shows good takedown defense.
Aleksandrov fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrei Aleksandrov . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Calter scores with a punch to the head.
Calter loads up on a big right hand but Aleksandrov slips the punch.
No luck for Aleksandrov with that takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Calter throws out a powerful jab.
Andrei Aleksandrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aleksandrov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Calter is fending him off so far but Aleksandrov persists. Nope, Calter circles away and we're back to standing.

Calter misses with a straight left.
Aleksandrov shoots in looking for a takedown. Calter tries to sprawl out of it but Aleksandrov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Calter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Calter stuffs the takedown attempt from Aleksandrov . Aleksandrov gets slowly back to his feet.
Aleksandrov slips under a jab from Calter.
Aleksandrov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Calter circles away.
A decent looking cross lands there for Calter.
Konstantin Calter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Calter slips a straight right by Aleksandrov .
Aleksandrov shoots in and drives through. Calter sprawls well.
Calter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Aleksandrov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Calter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Aleksandrov somewhat.
Aleksandrov is breathing heavily.
Calter cracks Aleksandrov with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Aleksandrov on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Calter connects with a right hand. Aleksandrov shakes it off.
Calter lands with a straight right. Aleksandrov didn't see that one coming.
Calter smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Nice defenses there by Aleksandrov .
Good standup being displayed there by Calter as he connects with a hook.
Aleksandrov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Calter as he avoids it easily.

Aleksandrov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Calter manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Calter wants to stand and escape but Aleksandrov is having none of it.
Aleksandrov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Calter is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Aleksandrov is controlling him.
Aleksandrov looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Aleksandrov misses with a takedown attempt - Calter sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Konstantin Calter dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Calter throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Aleksandrov on the side of the head.

Aleksandrov scores a takedown into full mount!

Aleksandrov looking to isolate an arm here. Calter doesn't see it coming and as Aleksandrov extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Aleksandrov !
