Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Andersson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Roll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Andersson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Roll!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Columbo Gatti and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andersson stuffs the takedown attempt from Roll. Roll gets slowly back to his feet.
Roll misses with a few strikes there.
Andersson wants to clinch up but Roll keeps it at a distance.
Andersson fails in his attempt to clinch.
Andersson misses with a straight right.
Andersson tries to clinch up.
Andersson tries to clinch there but Roll circles away.

Roll looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Andersson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Roll passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Roll tries to advance to mount but Andersson denies him.
Roll is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Andersson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Roll asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Andersson is trying to control Roll's posture but Roll avoids it.

Roll decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Andersson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

It looks like Andersson is going to stand back up.
Roll wants to improve his position but Andersson is controlling well.
Roll flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Roll is trying to control but Andersson manages to pass to mount!

Andersson wants to finish this one by submission but Roll is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Andersson.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Roll is looking to get to half guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Roll takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Roll gets back to half guard.
Andersson passes to full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Frank Andersson will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Andersson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Roll fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Andersson, pushing him back against the cage.
Andersson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Roll.

Roll has picked Andersson up - he's going for a ride! Roll dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Roll is just content to waste time from the top position. Andersson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Roll must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Andersson is trying to keep Roll in close.
Andersson wants to stand but Roll is controlling the position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Roll wants to pass the guard but Andersson is keeping the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Roll seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Roll is just content to waste time from the top position. Andersson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Mike Roll just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Andersson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Andersson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Roll wants to control but Andersson is having none of it.

Roll is refusing to be controlled, as Andersson sits in half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Roll controlling the position for now.

Andersson is trying to work for a kimura but Roll is defending well.

Mike Roll showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Roll looking to sit in guard and control but Andersson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Roll looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Andersson puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Roll is on top in guard.
Roll trying to control but Andersson is working from the bottom.

Roll drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Roll jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Roll gets to his feet. Andersson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Roll fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Andersson sprawls well initially but Roll persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Andersson is staying active underneath Roll, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Roll tries to pass the half guard into mount. Andersson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Roll stalling.
Andersson is looking to control Roll's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Andersson avoid being mounted?

Roll wants to pass to mount but Andersson is defending the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Andersson misses with a takedown

and Roll counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Roll prevents Andersson from getting back to his feet.
Roll is stalling in the full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mike Roll comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Roll has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
