Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Milton Vessey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peyton Pyatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Milton Vessey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peyton Pyatt!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vessey tries to bum rush Pyatt with a series of wild strikes but Pyatt uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pyatt throws an overhand right that lands on Vessey's shoulder, as Vessey tries to avoid the shot.
Peyton Pyatt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vessey will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Vessey circles away from the clinch attempt.
Vessey loads up on a big right hand but Pyatt slips the punch.
Pyatt swinging wildly here.
Pyatt tries to clinch up but Vessey circles away and keeps his distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pyatt looks to land a combination but Vessey avoids it well.

Pyatt is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Peyton Pyatt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Vessey throws a looping overhand right but Pyatt ducks down to avoid it.
Vessey lands with an overhand left.
Vessey tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pyatt sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vessey somewhat.
Vessey dives in and grabs Pyatt's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pyatt pushes down on Vessey's head and hops out.

Vessey just misses with a punch to the body.
Vessey waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pyatt.
Pyatt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vessey paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Vessey ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pyatt moves away.
Pyatt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Vessey shoots for a double leg takedown but Pyatt sprawls well. He's pushed Vessey's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Milton Vessey. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pyatt tries to close the distance and clinch but Vessey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Pyatt tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Vessey just misses with a punch to the body.
Vessey swats away the attempt to clinch by Pyatt.

Pyatt moves out of range as Vessey strikes.
Pyatt is looking to clinch.
Vessey changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pyatt tries to avoid it but Vessey manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pyatt to the ground. Pyatt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Milton Vessey will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Vessey takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The fighters circling - Pyatt throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Peyton Pyatt is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Vessey has a takedown stuffed.
Vessey is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Pyatt bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Pyatt waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Vessey.
Vessey throws a big shot that misses.
Pyatt stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pyatt wants it to stay on the feet.
Pyatt swings for the body but Vessey moves out of range.
A jab from Vessey misses.
Vessey connects with a looping right hand.
Pyatt misses with the combination.
Pyatt slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Vessey takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Pyatt throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vessey sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Pyatt connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Pyatt tries to clinch but Vessey moves away
letting Vessey counter with a right hand.
Vessey swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pyatt missing with a left hand there. Vessey was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Pyatt might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Pyatt uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Vessey.
Pyatt closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Pyatt throws an overhand right that lands on Vessey's shoulder, as Vessey tries to avoid the shot.

and Vessey counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Vessey darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Pyatt moves out of range of the strikes.
A lazy left from Vessey finds it's target.
Pyatt blocks a jab.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Vessey changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pyatt tries to avoid it but Vessey manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pyatt to the ground. Pyatt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Vessey uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pyatt.
Pyatt lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Vessey fails to land the takedown.
Vessey throws a lazy right hand but Pyatt sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Pyatt throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pyatt cracks a nice hook into Vessey's ribs.
A slow jab from Pyatt misses its intended target.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Vessey swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pyatt throws a big shot that misses.
Vessey lands a right hook to the body.
Pyatt looks to land a left hand but Vessey moved out of range nicely.
Pyatt tries to move into range but Vessey moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Pyatt throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Peyton Pyatt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Vessey has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
