The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patty lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Hemler sprawling to the canvas. Patty follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Hemler hang on?

Hemler is rocked!

It looks like Karsten Hemler has been cut.
Hemler wants to control but Patty is keeping busy.
Hemler is still in real trouble! Can Patty finish him?
Hemler gets back to full guard.
Hemler seems to have recovered his senses.
Patty tries to stand but Hemler is controlling from the bottom.
Patty knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hemler on the ground.

Hemler has his foot on Patty's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Patty works his way back into a safe position though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Hemler looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hemler tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hemler controls Patty momentarily but Patty frees himself.
Hemler wants to stand and escape but Patty is having none of it.

Hemler working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Patty doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Hemler is tightening it up a little... Patty has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Patty reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Patty taps out! nice BJJ there by Hemler!
