The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boase throws an uppercut from half a mile away. davis sees it coming and avoids it easily.
davis blocks a low kick nicely.
Boase fails with a takedown attempt.
Boase has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Derek Boase has been cut.
davis keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Boase.
davis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
davis is looking to clinch but Boase is avoiding it.
Boase avoids a punch combination nicely.
Boase throws a leg kick that misses.

davis tries to close the distance and clinch but Boase swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Boase throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
davis slips a straight right by Boase.
Boase is looking to clinch but davis is avoiding it.
Boase moves forwards but davis connects with a nice, crisp jab.
davis cracks Boase with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.

davis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Boase moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

davis feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Boase sprawling to the canvas! Boase rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can davis finish him?!

Boase is rocked!
