Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Francois Pignon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Balls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pignon comes to the cage accompanied by NTM- Qu'est-ce qu'on attend. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pignon fails to land the takedown.
Balls fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pignon manages to avoid it.
Pignon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Balls circles away.

Balls is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Pignon counters with a shoot takedown. Balls fights it but they end up in guard.
Pignon stands and throws Balls's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Balls's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Pignon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Balls keeps working.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Balls gets caught flat footed, as Pignon shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Balls tries to roll over but Pignon keeps him under control.

Balls tries to lock up and control but Pignon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Pignon has hold of Balls's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Balls manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Pignon is breathing heavily.

Pignon jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Balls is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Balls and Pignon has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Balls is looking to regain half guard here but Pignon keeps moving and retains side control.

Pignon isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Balls stacks Pignon on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Balls!

Pignon wants to sweep but no luck.
Pignon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Pignon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Balls is not content to let Pignon control the position.
Pignon is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Balls is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Balls looks up at the clock and then as Pignon takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Balls smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Balls scores with a couple of short elbows.
Pignon trying to control but Balls flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Balls lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Balls is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Balls gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Balls gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Balls apologises and we restart here on the feet.

and Balls shoots in for a double leg counter - driving through into a slam and Pignon is out! The slam has knocked him out cold! Devastating for Pignon but Balls is celebrating as the crowd goes wild!
