Mode is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: get up get down. Rick Rude could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Beast Mode's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rude wants to clinch.
Mode moves away from the strike by Rude.
Rude throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mode.
Rude pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Mode closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rude circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rude tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mode swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rude throws an overhand right that lands on Mode's shoulder, as Mode tries to avoid the shot.
Rude misses with a hook. Mode ducked under it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rude throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rude is looking to clinch.
Rude gets caught flat footed, as Mode shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Mode works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Rude looks like he's trying to stand up.
Mode is trying to work for a kimura but Rude is defending well.
Rude knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mode on the ground.
Mode is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Rude is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
