Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power avoids the body shot from Batista.
Power tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Batista paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Batista stuffs the takedown attempt from Power. Power gets slowly back to his feet.
Batista misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Batista rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Power moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Power changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Batista tries to avoid it but Power manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Batista to the ground. Batista escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Batista slaps away a takedown attempt from Power, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Power. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Batista throws a strike but Power rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Batista.
Power shoots in but no luck this time.
Batista swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Batista shoots in for a takedown but Power shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Dave Batista seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Batista swings for the body but Power moves out of range.
Power looks to land a combination but Batista avoids it well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Power throws a right hand that Batista ducks under and follows up with a left that Batista also avoids with ease.

and Power makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Batista really felt that one!

Power tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Power for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Power wants the takedown. Batista is fighting it off but Power persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Batista's guard against the cage.

Batista is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Power lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Power.
Batista scores with the left hand. Power knows he should have avoided that one.

Power throws a right and a left that Batista avoids nicely.
Power tries to close the distance and clinch but Batista swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Power throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Batista wants to clinch up but Power keeps it at a distance.
Batista circles away from the clinch attempt.
A left and a right from Power both land. Nice combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Batista lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Batista tries to bum rush Power with a series of wild strikes but Power uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Batista throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Power counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Batista is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Power tries to clinch there but Batista circles away.
Batista goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Power lands with a kick to the temple. Batista shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Batista looks to land a combination but Power avoids it well.
Batista catches Power with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Batista connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Power tumbling to the canvas! Batista pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Power was done - good stoppage!
