PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Flip Flop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Flip Flop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kyle Williams!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Richard Clark and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flop decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Williams wants to get back to his feet.
Flop wants to free his trapped foot but Williams is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Flop will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Williams keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Flop throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Flop wants to take a breather but Williams is having none of it.

Flop is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Williams can do anything to dispel that myth.
Williams avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Flop.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Williams wants to get back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Williams looks like he's trying to stand up.

Williams is refusing to be controlled, as Flop sits in half guard.

Williams is staying active underneath Flop, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Flop wants to work for an arm triangle but Williams is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Flop is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Flop jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Williams is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Williams and Flop has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Flop is breathing heavily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Flop throwing shots but Williams is blocking nicely.
Flop wants to lay and pray for a moment but Williams keeps working.

Flop thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Williams's head.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Williams dodges the punch combination from Flop.
Flop checks a leg kick.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Flop throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Williams scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Williams feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Flop's calf.
Kyle Williams is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Flop jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Flop changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Flip Flop dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Flop looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Williams uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Flop.
Flip Flop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Flop or perhaps it was just good defense by Williams which made him look bad.
Williams keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Williams throws a half hearted mid kick.
Williams chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Flop throws a shot from downtown. Williams moves away and avoids it.
Flop misses with an uppercut.
Williams goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Williams buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Williams cracks the inside of Flop's front leg.
Williams lands a brutal head kick. Flop looks out on his feet and Williams throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Kyle Williams!
