Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Adebisi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerald Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adebisi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Young tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Adebisi was well out of range. Poor timing from Young.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Adebisi.
Young moves in looking to clinch but Adebisi pushes him off.
Adebisi throws a leg kick but Young sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Adebisi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Adebisi lands in his opponent's guard.
Adebisi wants to control from the top but Young keeps moving.
Young wants to get back to his feet but Adebisi is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Adebisi in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Young pushes Adebisi off but Adebisi dives into side control.
Adebisi throws an elbow but Young slips to the side and avoids it well.

Adebisi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Young has escaped the position, nice work there.

Adebisi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Young is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Adebisi postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Adebisi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Young pinned against the cage. Young gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Adebisi turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Adebisi manages to end up in side control.

Young tries to escape back to his feet but Adebisi has kept hold of him... Oh, now he's got Young's back and is looking for the choke... Is it? Is it sunk in? YES! Young is tapping! Adebisi saw the opportunity and took it - ruthless!
