The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steiner misses with an uppercut.
McMurder misses with an uppercut. Steiner saw that one coming.

McMurder gets the takedown into side control.
McMurder wants to control but Steiner is keeping him busy.
You can see the frustration on Steiner's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McMurder creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Steiner sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
McMurder takes a little break here. Steiner wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
McMurder is trying to ground and pound but Steiner uses the momentary lack of control by McMurder to regain half guard.

McMurder is trying to keep Steiner in close.
Steiner wanted to stand there but McMurder had control of the position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

McMurder fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Steiner sprawls well initially but McMurder persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

McMurder takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

McMurder stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Steiner swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Steiner postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McMurder is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Steiner, into his guard.

McMurder is pushing down on Steiner's leg trying to pass to half guard. Steiner is fighting to maintain full guard but McMurder has managed to sneak the leg through.

McMurder is working to tighten is grip on Steiner's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Steiner has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but McMurder is really squeezing tight and eventually Steiner passes out! McMurder breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
