Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seth Midas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Lolata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seth Midas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Seth Midas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Charlie Lolata!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lolata fails with a takedown attempt.

Lolata feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Midas pulls Lolata in close to his closed guard and prevents Lolata from doing any damage or advancing position.
Midas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Midas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Lolata wants to stand but Midas is controlling his posture from full guard.

Midas has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Lolata can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Midas is looking to escape.

Midas tries to lock up and control but Lolata gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Midas sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Lolata pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Midas is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lolata wants to stand but Midas has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lolata is looking to work some ground and pound but Midas has wrist control.

Lolata drops back, looking for a kneebar! Midas looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Midas looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Midas!
Lolata manages to work his way to half guard, despite Midas's best efforts.

Midas is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Midas is breathing heavily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Lolata is positioning himself well to prevent Midas advancing to mount.
Lolata wants to get back to full guard.
Midas throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Lolata is trying to stand.

Lolata kicks off Midas and gets to his feet.
Midas misses with a takedown attempt

and Lolata counters with a takedown into side control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Lolata stands up and beckons Midas to his feet.
Lolata doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Midas counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Lolata!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Charlie Lolata dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Lolata drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lolata jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Midas wants to control the position but Lolata says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lolata is working for a kimura but Midas is defending it quite comfortably.

Lolata is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Midas sees it coming and defends easily.
Lolata drops an elbow to the side of Midas's head.
Lolata winds up and cracks Midas with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Midas slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Lolata is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Lolata connects with a couple of short punches.
Lolata stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Midas swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lolata slips nicely into half guard.

Lolata is trying for a kimura here. Midas looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Lolata wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Charlie Lolata!
