Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doug Booth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivanov Vorolcheski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Vorolcheski or perhaps it was just good defense by Booth which made him look bad.
Booth lands a jab-cross combination.
Booth rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Vorolcheski moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vorolcheski misses with a double jab
and Booth counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Vorolcheski fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Booth manages to avoid it.
Booth looks to score with a jab to the body but Vorolcheski is just out of range.
Booth misses with a wild body shot.
Vorolcheski with a lazy takedown attempt
and Booth counters with a left and a right that stings Vorolcheski.
Booth falls off balance throwing a combination
and Booth takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Vorolcheski doesn't succeed with the takedown

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Booth is looking to wear down Vorolcheski with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nice straight punches there by Booth. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Booth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Booth scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Booth shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Booth decides to return to a standing position.

Booth closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Vorolcheski did well to prevent Booth getting side control.

Booth decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Booth tries to bum rush Vorolcheski with a series of wild strikes but Vorolcheski uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Booth misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Vorolcheski gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Booth counters with a left and a right that stings Vorolcheski.

Booth looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Vorolcheski tries for a takedown but Booth circles away easily
and Booth counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Vorolcheski on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Booth closes the distance and pushes Vorolcheski back into the cage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Vorolcheski closes the distance but Booth moves to the side

Booth tries to stand and escape but Vorolcheski is controlling the position.
Vorolcheski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Booth wants to stand up but Vorolcheski is controlling the position.

Booth stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Vorolcheski to get to his feet.
Ivanov Vorolcheski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Booth misses with a two punch combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vorolcheski had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Booth defends it easily.
Booth is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vorolcheski can do to turn this around?

Booth's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Booth covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Booth tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Vorolcheski was well out of range. Poor timing from Booth.
Vorolcheski gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Booth moves into the clinch.
Vorolcheski is trying to break the clinch but Booth is controlling him.
Booth wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Vorolcheski has him pressed against the cage.

Booth has picked Vorolcheski up - he's going for a ride! Booth dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Booth has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Vorolcheski works to full guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Booth throws a right and a left that Vorolcheski avoids nicely.

Vorolcheski clinches up with Booth and pushes him back against the cage.
Vorolcheski tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Booth manages to break the clinch.

Vorolcheski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Booth's waist but Booth gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vorolcheski off to one side.

Booth has had enough of the clinch but Vorolcheski keeps him there for the moment.
Booth is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Vorolcheski pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Vorolcheski throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Booth blocks it with crossed arms.
Vorolcheski goes for a takedown attempt but Booth pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Booth throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vorolcheski.

Vorolcheski tries to improve position but can't.
Vorolcheski wants to control but Booth postures up.
Vorolcheski tries to buck Booth off but Booth is having none of it.

Booth tries to stand and escape but Vorolcheski is controlling the position.

Well Booth has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
