The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
star shoots in for a takedown but Diaz shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Diaz drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Diaz tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
star is looking to reverse the position.
star gets back to half guard.
star wants to control but Diaz is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Diaz is working for a kimura but star is defending it quite comfortably.
