Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hanz Zehetmayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Ritchie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zehetmayer throws the kick towards the body but Ritchie avoids it.
Ritchie misses with a wild body shot.
Zehetmayer stuffs the takedown attempt from Ritchie. Ritchie gets slowly back to his feet.

Zehetmayer tries to bum rush Ritchie with a series of wild strikes but Ritchie uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Hanz Zehetmayer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Ritchie.

Hanz Zehetmayer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ritchie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zehetmayer's waist but Zehetmayer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ritchie off to one side.
Horrible takedown by Ritchie or perhaps it was just good defense by Zehetmayer which made him look bad.

Ritchie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zehetmayer sprawls well. Zehetmayer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ritchie gets slowly back to his feet.

Ritchie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Zehetmayer did well to prevent Ritchie getting side control.

Ritchie is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Zehetmayer sees it coming and defends easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Ritchie is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Zehetmayer!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ritchie cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Zehetmayer is squirming around, avoiding Ritchie's attempts to control the action.
Ritchie is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Zehetmayer tries to buck Ritchie off but Ritchie takes his back!

Ritchie is looking to control Zehetmayer but Zehetmayer is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ritchie lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Zehetmayer controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Ritchie scores with punches and elbows.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Ritchie dives in and grabs Zehetmayer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zehetmayer pushes down on Ritchie's head and hops out.

It looks like Ben Ritchie has been cut.
Zehetmayer throws a nice looking combination but Ritchie bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Zehetmayer cracks a nice hook into Ritchie's ribs.
Zehetmayer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ritchie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Zehetmayer gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ritchie to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ritchie wanted to stand there but Zehetmayer had control of the position.
Zehetmayer wants to stand up but Ritchie is controlling him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ritchie wants to pass the guard but Zehetmayer is keeping the position.
Zehetmayer utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ritchie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zehetmayer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Zehetmayer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ritchie drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ritchie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

I've got Ritchie winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
