Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mikey Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kai Kasem!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kasem drops Kim with a beautiful combination! Kim stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kasem is looking for the KO!

It looks like Mikey Kim has been cut.
Kim shoots in for a takedown but Kasem shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Oh Kim is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kim shoots in and drives through. Kasem sprawls well.

Kim is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kasem sees it coming and defends easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kasem missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Kim tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kasem swivels and escapes.
Kim gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kasem.

Kasem gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kim to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Kasem really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kim. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kasem is looking to stand up but Kim isn't so interested in that idea.

Kim postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kasem is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kim, into his guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kasem looking to sit in guard and control but Kim gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Kim drops back looking for a leg! Kasem is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kasem manages to kick Kim off! Kim jumps back into Kasem's guard.
Kim trying to control the position from guard on top but Kasem is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kim won't allow Kasem to sweep him here.

Kim drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kasem looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kasem looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kasem!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kai Kasem dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Mikey Kim's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Some wild striking there from Kasem.
Kim shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kasem but Kasem pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kim.
Kasem rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kim moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kasem throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kasem defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kim.
Kasem connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kim. Kim circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
An inside leg kick lands from Kasem.
Kasem scores with a kick to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A punch lands to the side of Kim 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Kim takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kasem throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kasem throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Kim stumbling backwards into the cage! Kim bounces back off the cage towards Kasem, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Kasem lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Kasem celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Kai Kasem!
